Last week I rounded off the reflection on All Saints and today I wish to reflect on All Souls which is celebrated the next day after All Saints. In my reflection on All Saints, it was pointed out that the Communion of the Saints occurs on the level of santi (holy people) on the three states of the Church namely, the Church Triumphant, the Church Militant, and the Church Penitent.

Last week I started reflecting on the meaning of All Saints and what that means to us as Catholics who profess our belief in the Communion of Saints. I shared in the first part that we have seen the example of Blessed Carlo Acutis who was born in 1991 and who died in 2006 that will soon be canonized at a later date that will be made known to us by the Holy See this year.

Today I share with you a reflection on All Saints and what the solemnity means for us as Catholics who confess I believe in the communion of Saints in our creed. Last week we celebrated the Solemnity of All Saints, otherwise known as All Hallows, a feast that reminds us that we are a part of a larger communion, which transcends time and space, connecting us to the saints in heaven.

I wish to dedicate this week’s Pastor’s Corner on some of our parish financial needs. The highest of them all is the situation of the church air conditioner units of which I have spoken to you in the past. However, before I go into that, I would like to thank everyone for the significant increase that has been recorded in the weekly plate collection.
